Luthier lowered by brother's guitar action so low it buzzes on several Frets. Now luthier is offended?
He claims that my brother's $750 EG544SC Takamine is a cheap guitar but will take a look at it but was somewhat abrasive towards my brother. This is no cheapy guitar or cheap place. This is supposedly the best luthier in town. Before he did this the guitar played beautiful, sounded mellow though the action was a little too high. Now it sounds shrill and terrible. On this type of guitar how would you raise the action? Raise the white saddle that sits in the bridge a little? Thanks for any help.
Yh, I'd straighten out the neck with truss rod, then raise bridge to suitable action. And don't take that luthier's $h!T, man....
