Can I change the body of a Squier Affinity Strat and if so, how?
Im thinking of modifying a Stratocaster but want a Squire instead of a Fender (for money reasons). I was wondering how easy it would be to change the body of the guitar, leaving the neck, pickups and electronics the same. There isnt alot of information on the web.

I have done some guitar customizing. It is not difficult. With a little practice you probably can do it.
What do you want to do with the body, I am not certain what you want to modify. Do you want to refinish or reshape the body? That is not hard to do. If you want to switch the body from a Strat with another body, that can be simple. However, you do have to use a body with the same scale length. For example, if you want to put a Les Paul body on a Strat neck. You have scale problems to deal with. The Strat is a 25 1/2 inch scale (length from the nut to the bridge). The Les Paul uses a 24 3/4 inch scale. If you put the Strat neck on the Les Paul body you either have to move the frets on the neck so they fit a 24 3/4 inch scale or move the bridge on the body.
