what year did fender fit 3 way selctors on the stratocaster?
i am trying to date a strat copy with 3 way selector
Hello there,
Not sure how you will do that. Fender used a 3 way on the classic 57 Strat. They started making 57 reissues in 1985 when they opened the new plant at Corona. They have made 57 reissues in most years since. So, a 3 way switch has been used on Strats for decades.
Many guitars have some markings on the heel of the neck. Did you look there? Also, check the dates on the pots. That would give you a starting point.
