what is the minimum height you can have your pickups on an electric guitar ?
my guitar gets a really clear sound when the pickups are flush with the pickguard.
i want to know whats the lowest you can have them
Man, that's really low, as low as I've ever heard before but if it sounds clear and you like the sound that's cool. I guess you try them lower but the further away from the string the less vibration it will pick up. You would have to turn up your gain to make up for the distance and the sound would'nt be as clear. Just experiment around like that, that's how players find their tones. You could always raise them again.
