Fender Stratocaster or Epiphone Casino?
I bought an Epiphone Casino for 500 bucks. I'm almost regretting it.
Because I really like the rich, full tone of the Stratocaster like John Frusciante and Stevie Ray Vaughan play. I went through this hard rock phase where I was obsessed with ACDC and Led Zeppelin and now realize I'm really a bluesy alternative person.
However my parents will get mad if I say I want to trade the Casino back in. I don't know what to do. The Casino doesn't fit my needs and I can't afford to buy another guitar. I'm stuck in a rut?!

That Epiphone is a good guitar and with a little tweaking, you get a much fatter sound with the Epiphone. Also, its not up to the guitar to sound good but rather, you as the musician can live with it and do the best you can.
Who knows, you might get the urge to rock on and then realize, I should have kept the darn Epiphone. Push the mid tone up , lower the bass, and select the middle toggle position and tweak it from there. It gets close to a Fender sound.
