Guitar Builder(luthier)?????
Ive been looking at alot of guitars lately, and let me say that ive always had the though of pursuing the art of being a guitar builder. I want to learn how to build a guitar, and want to learn all about it. SO i ask those who know how to build any type of guitar ( electric, acoustic, classical) how did you start off? And is it something you learn over time, or something that you have to have a natural talent at. I freaking love guitar!!!, playing, listening, looking at them. I would really like to pick this up. I would appreciate any information, or any past experience with this work. Thanks.
Well I was going to suggest a couple of schools but when I searched I found a bunch more so here is the search link.
I worked in a stringed instrument and repair shop and had training under a luthier. Most people start this way, then will continue to a luthier school. After trainig most go on to apprentice under a seasoned luthier.
