How come my electric guitar amp wont work? Its a first act 222 electric guitar black and white one?
It does turn on and flash blue confirming its on,but no sound is on, everything is plugged in, the sounds on so can some1 help me plz i also dont know how to play it... It just turned 8 months old
If it's an open backed cabinet make sure the speaker wires are attached to the speaker.
I used to have an old small Peavey and the speaker connections were always coming loose.
Also...dumb question perhaps, but make sure your amp isn't in standby mode...if you have such a switch?
When your amp is on, unplug the guitar cable, from the guitar only...leave the cable plugged into the amp, and touch the end with your hand...it should buzz.
If it doesn't buzz....you could have a bad cable, or the problem could be with your amp. 1st thing to try is a different cable. Next check the input of the amp...while the power is off, and make sure the guitar cable is properly connecting to the input connector of the amp.
If the unplugged cable does buzz when you run your finger across the metal tip, the problem's in your guitar somewhere. Check the input jack of your guitar where the cable gets plugged in. This area is notorious for separating and not making a good connection...it's a cheap fix, but you may have to open up the connection plate and make sure everything's connected in your guitar.
