What products should I use to paint my guitar?
I bought and AXL Do it Yourself Guitar Kit. There is absolutely no paint or anything of the sort on it. I really want to paint the body a metallic purple and want it to be as professional as possible. I talked to someone at PEP BOYS and he said that car paint restricts the expanding of the wood and it isn't a good idea. Does anyone know the exact products luthiers or companys like Gibson use?
You could try professional grade acrylics and a finish of polyurethane.
