Takamine EG543SC vs Aria Sandpiper STD guitar.?
I recently bought the Takamine and as always in life I got a phone call from a man in another shop saying they just got some Sandpipers in and with no hint that I had bought the Takemine from a different shop he proceeded to say they, along with the Yamaha APX range for the same price were far poorer than the Sandpiper. This leaves me with a predicament! I want the best guitar possible for this price range - £350 to £450 for vocal accompaniment mainly... So which should I choose? I've been researching a bit and the Sandpiper seems more of a classical guitar than the Takamine.. I just have no idea!
I can take the guitar I have back to the shop for a full refund, but obviously I havn't even tried the sandpiper yet, so i don't know whether i'll like it or not..
If you like your guitar that's all that matters. There will always be better guitars - Taylors and Martins, for example - but the trick is to spend as much as you can and to get a guitar you're happy with. I'd take a Tak over an Aria any day of the week, as it happens.
PS The Aria is not a classical guitar. It has a solid head and a pin bridge and uses steel strings.
