I need a almost perfect acoustic guitar sound for my electric guitar amp?
i have a elec. guitar i need a acoustic setting for my amp or one that sounds like an acoustic. the setting needs a treble mid. bass and reverb setting. any settings appreiciated thx for the help. also wat pickup would i use on the guitar i have a 5 way selector

Although you should see your electric guitar as a different instrument, there are some tricks to make it appear at least a little bit like an 'acoustic', without buying one of these digital modeling effects for big bucks (you still can do that. Second hand a Boss GT-3 would cost you about 50 dollars, and it has a great acoustic simulator. You get a ton of wild electric effects with it, because it's a multi-effect pedal. Difficult job to learn it, though).
The budget metamorphosis:
Try keep your amp as clean as possible, if you have a GAIN and a VOLUME knob to choose from, see how you can keep your GAIN as low was possible without losing to much volume.
As for the treble/ mid/ bass: try to keep them near to the middle as much as you can.
As for the reverb: a little bit can not hurt, but don't overdo it.
Above settings might still give you sound that are too wild. You might want to set the volume back on the guitar itself. Now you will lose some high frequencies (treble), so you might want to give the amp some extra treble. The dynamics in your electric sound are almost gone, which is good. Same effect can be obtained by getting a compression pedal, which controls the peaks in your playing.
When you are strumming chords, try to use your plectrum as smoothly as possible.
