what are the difference between these given bass strings?
if anyone can tell me the difference between these bass strings that would be awesome.
what is coated bass strings? what genre they used for?

what is stainless bass strings? what genre.... moslty, can anyone give a good example please? like a video or something??? thanks...

Coated bass strings have... well... a coating on them. Thank you, Captain Obvious. Some strings are coated to make them last longer.
Nickel-steel strings are what I would call standard bass strings. Nickel is used because it's magnetically reactive, which is what the pickups rely on to produce an electronic signal. They're used for everything.
Flatwound bass strings are also nickel-steel. The difference is the coil that wraps around the strings inner steel core. Round wound strings use a round wire coiled around the center, and odds are at least 95% of basses you pick up in the store have round wound strings. Flatwound strings have a strip of flat wire wound around the core, and if you look at them you can see that they're coiled, but they're smooth. They have a bassy (less bright) sound, and are typically used by jazz players, especially on fretless basses. Anyone looking for a more subdued tone might use them. I hate them.
Stainless steel, man. That's all it means. Nickel-steel is the metal of choice for strings.
Any type can be used for any genre. It really depends more on the bassist who's playing than on the strings being used.
All those degrees of 'slinky' are just names that Ernie Ball gives to their sets of strings. They represent the thickness of the strings in question, and you can check the numbers on the pack to see which is which.
