how can i identify a dobro with pat.pend. and no serial number?
it is a round neck, has a dobro logo (gold with red edge) and some kind of pearl looking edge on the neck
Try eBay. Maybe you can find an expert on there and send them a digital image of your item and they can identify it for you. Sometimes this method works well for people.
I was able to identify a vintage Supro lap guitar this way.
