I have been told I have Asperger's syndrome. What can I due to minimze the effects?
I have read that it is a form of mild autism. Nowhere in the literature is there anything about ways to get around it. I have trouble with relationships, and I have never had a girlfriend or even a long-term friend. When people get to know me, they tend to move away from me. This is because I lack the ability to sense or feel strong emotions. I do feel emotions, but they are very brief and very tenuous. I am very intelligent, a straight-A student 1510 on my SAT's (out of 1600), a high IQ, and all that jazz, but I cannot muster much emotion and cannot relate to another human being properly. Does anybody have this too? Any suggestions?
I don't have it and honestly hadn't even heard of the syndrome until reading your post. However, as a person who generally suffers from too much emotion, I was touched by your plight and did a quick bit of research.
