I want a good amp for my guitar (a PRS) but it has to be affordable!!?
Affordable for me means the Minimum is around 400$ and the max is around 900$
Hey Scooter Trash. I play metal, yes i'm in a band. And My paul reed smith is an SE Paul Allender model.
What a nice, deep, warm sounding guitar. I've heard them several times. As mentioned before I would definitely go with a tube amp, but something big enough to gig with since you are in a band.
In a pinch though, you should check out the Line 6 Spider combos. Not very expensive but super loud. They don't really work for the kind of music that I play, but I know of 2 metal musicians and a few industrial artists that swear by them. (the big reason they don't work for me is the Washburn hollow body I play doesn't sound good through a metal amp)
The only other advice I can offer is to take your own guitar into a guitar store and try out everything you can to get a sound that you like. Stay away from those Orange Crush amps, it seems like every music store I've been to in the last 6 months is pushing them and they sound terrible on every level imaginable.
