What's the difference between being in love and loving someone?
I was reading this book Peaches by Jodi Lynn Anderson and Leeda and Rex were breaking up and it went something like this..Leeda was like "we were never really in love" and rex was like "i do love you" and she's like "i loved you too..but thats different from being in love do you know what i mean?" and he nodded his head..i dont understand what the difference is..?
Loving someone is caring about them as a person and who they are, and the feeling of getting used to them and being comfortable around them. It is when someone is there for you and cares about you also. You can love your best friend, but you aren't IN LOVE with them. You just care about them and love them for who they are. I love my ex boyfriend because we were together for 3 years, he was always there for me, and he was my first real boyfriend. But, i am no longer IN love with him. Being in love is wanting to be with them, physically and emotionally. It is having the feeling of wanting to be together and share your life together. I am in love with my husband, not only do i love him as his own person, i love him and the way we are TOGETHER. That is being in love.
