On a multi-boot system, can I use the same license for a VM that runs in the OTHER O/S?
I have a PC that multi-boots Windows and OpenBSD. The OpenBSD instance has qemu (a virtual machine host program) installed.
Can I use the Windows license for the hardware installation as the license for a Windows VM run by qemu under OpenBSD? There would never be two instances of running under that license at the same time.
Is qemu like Virtual PC in that it creates a separate hardware set? A single Setup key can not be used on two different hardware hashes at the same time - or alternately as you would with two computers. So you could call Microsoft and explain your "new" machine once or twice, but not for long.
