You're not going to do any better at that price; Genuine alder body, electrics all but indistinguishable from "Genuine Fender", this is a good choice.
Beware of guitar snobs: It is true that Squiers are not quite as good as Fenders (as a rule) but being 98% as good at 25% of the price ain't shabby. Squiers are certainly good enough to play in public.
