hey, i'm pretty sure this is gonna be a pretty dumb question... i need help attaching a guitar strap.?
i know how to attach it on the bottom, the loop fits over the knob perfectly. but it's a suede guitar strap, and instead of tying string at the other end, it just has a single leather thong. i'd love to be able to use the strap, but i haven't the sweetest clue how to tie the leather thong. if it helps, the thong does have 2 holes in it, similar to the one hooked around the knob at the butt of the guitar. it is an adjustable strap.
The strap you have is designed for an electric guitar. The adjustable (thong) end hooks to the strap peg on the body. If you've got an acoustic, it probably won't have the second strap peg on the body by the neck, so you'll have to attach the wide part to the strap peg on the body and run a shoe lace through the hole on the adjustable (thong) side of the strap and tie it to the headstock (wearing it backwards). the strap will probably need to be adjusted all the way out to do this. You could also have a second strap peg installed on your guitar.
