If customs agents ruin your luggage, is there anything you can do about it?
I loaned a vintage suitcase to my husband to transport a pricey video camera from America to Europe. It is the old fashioned "hard shell" type, with a satin liner on the inside.
Apparently, when customs agents were searching it, they sliced open the satin liner on the insides of the suitcase.
I am assuming that there's nothing to do about it now, but I would like to know, as this was a beautiful piece of luggage in perfect condition!
