Which should I get and why?
I'm an intermediate/beginner guitar player, but I'd prefer to get a really nice guitar so I don't have to upgrade as much later on. In my eyes, it's a much better investment, and I really won't be swayed on this.
I mainly play rock and classical, that is, mimicking classical pieces by the likes of Haydn, Mozart, Bach, etc. in a "rock-ish" sort of tone.
Both are fine guitars. Tough choice. I think the Strat might be a little better choice, but you can't go wrong either way. The Strat probably has a little more tonal variety. Just make sure you try the guitars out before you buy. Don't be swayed by the looks and the excitement.
