Can the zoom john effects pedal be used with electric violin?
Can this pedal be used with the yamaha sv120K violin? I'm new to electric violin. How do I hook up the pedal and the amp? Does the violin cord go to the pedal and then the amp cord to the pedal? Do I need a split cord so that both the amp and pedal are connected directly to the violin? Please post a link of the cord I will need.

Yup, you sure can.
You need two 1/4" cables, standard at any music store. They range from just a few bucks to pretty expensive, and you get what you pay for. Get Monster cables and they're guaranteed. Get cheap cables and you're gonna end up paying for what the Monsters would have cost in the first place when your cables die.
From the violin, plug it into the input of the pedal. Then link output on the pedal to input on your amp.
I hope you're good at that thing. I looked up what you have, you seem to have made enough of an investment that you probably are at least pretty decent. Careful with squeaks more than ever with distortion. They will truly squeal. Otherwise, have fun.
