My guitar string is stuck please help?
Ok so i was removing my guitar strings out i got all of them out except for the d string. I cant get it out it got stuck somewhere in the bridge. I tried taking it out with a paper clip but its jammed in hard and i cant remove it. The guitar is a fender strat. The strings i have on are GHS Boomer strings gauge 11 i think. Electric guitar btw.
Hello! Try squirting a small amount of light oil or silicone fluid down the opening from the top of the bridge. Using a rigid small diameter rod (1/16-inch), insert it into the hole from the top and tap gently with a light hammer. I know this sounds brutal, but that is the same approach a shop will take!
