Hey there, I just found a reputable website selling a VG Strat for around 750E. Can anybody tell me why this might be a bad idea?? It sounds like a crazy good price for, especially seeing as as far as I can tell, it's an American Standard Strat, and for that price, it seems amazing! It's either that, or I buy a Highway One for 665 and swap out the pickups for another hundred anyway? The main issue, is time, it's a special offer, so if anyone could get back to me, that would be sweet.
By the way, I just found out that the VG has been discontinued, which is no doubt why this guitar costs that much (equivalent to $999). It still seems like a cracking idea. Any thoughts?
Hey....Do you live in Europe? If not, shipping of course will add to the price. How much I don't know. I had to sell my Daphne blue American Standard Strat. In cherry condition, still had receipt, and got $600 and change for it on E-Bay...Whatever you do, check the neck. Is it four bolt and is it twistified...You can get decals to make it look to the average guy or novice like an original. If you or a friend is knowledgeable in the ways of guitars, check it out carefully and of utmost importance is to play it! Play it through something that goes well with the Strat. If it feels good and sounds good, that's 99% of it, unless you're a collector and don't care....Good luck!
