How do you put custom character models in video games?
I see WWE game play videos online with all kind of custom character models. Some examples are say, from X Men. Jean Grey Phoenix/Dark Phoenix, Emma Frost, Wolverine, Scoot, etc. Or examples are Wonder Women, Hulk/She Hulk, Superman, Batman. Hell, I've seen Peter Griffin and DBZ models.
What I want to know is;
1) What system do you need? Do you need the PC version of the game, or can you do it on the game console (PS2 is my only console right now) version of the game?
2) Where do you get character models, and how do you get the models into the game?
3) Can the models be saved and selected from the character selection screen?
I've never done character models, I actually don't even own a WWE game myself. But after seeing the video's only, it looks really interesting. But before I run out to buy a WWE game, I want to know if this is hard or easy, and how to do it. So any help is welcome and hopefully I'll get a reply soon.
1) Its easier on PC, but possible on PS2 if you have a mod chip, you will just need to make the model files then write them into the ISO and burn it, then pop it in your ps2 and it will work fine.
2) Character models for WWE games can be easily googled.

3) Yes these character models will, they will simply overwrite another file and be loaded in place of someone elses model, easy to do on PC if you know the file format.
