single speaker wire input to a dual left/right connection?
I have a surround sound stereo system from altec lansing. there is only one wire that plugs into the computer to get the sound to dispurse it to all of the speakers. I'm trying to hook this system up to my new flatscreen, and the only audo out it has is a left/right port, is there some sort of adapter or converter to make this work?
To be more specific you need a female stereo 3.5mm to 2 Male RCA adapter. You would then plug your speaker's 3.5mm phono jack into it and then the RCA ends would plug into your TV. Here is what one looks like.
