I own a telecaster and I'm not sure which strings are best for me. I really love the "steely" tone of brand spanking new strings, so I'm after strings which sound exceptionally steely. I also love the powerful chunky sounds of strings which vibrantly resonates with clarity. I like strings which pack a punch, but that aren't so thick that make them difficult to bend.

I tried Ernie Ball Slinky strings before, and I didn't really like them. I prefer strings with a beefy and and clear tone, but aren't so thick that they would be rendered unplayable.
Strings are an individual thing. You should try different strings and see which ones you like on YOUR guitar.
My wife had a Taylor acoustic that she used Elixer strings on and it sounded great. However, I hated the way those same strings sounded on my Martin acoustic.
I like Fender Bullet strings on my strat, but EXP on my tele. That's just me and the sound I like. Try them all till you get your sound.
