Grounding wireing for a guitar?
So I ave a crappy white strat tremalo squier guitar and I want to rebuild it so it seems more like a fender guitar. So I bought a prewired pickguard set (heres is the link) http://www.guitarfetish.com/Single-Humbucker-Tortoiseshell-Pickguard-Chrome-humbucker_p_680.html so if your computer cant load the page then it basically is a single humbucker and one volume knob, i hooked up all the weirs and i pluged it in to an amp and sound came out but there was alot of unwanted buzz, so i think that I grounded it to the wroung spot, I grounded it to the back of the guitar where the tremalo is because thats where it was grounded to before, so if you know anything about this then I would like to know where I should ground the pickups to.

Are you saying that you soldered the wire to the spring claw in the tremolo cavity? That should be correct if you did so. I would assume that all the wiring on the pick guard is grounded correctly. Double check your ground wire in the back of the guitar. Also if you have loads of gain and/or distortion, you may get that with any pickup.
If that doesn't fix your issue, then someone would have to test all the parts and look over all the solder joints. If you are sure you grounded the wire correctly, maybe you should call the company and see if they have any ideas or if they will replace it.
