Do you consider Epiphone inferior, superior or equal to Gibson?
Given that Epiphone is a subsidiary of Gibson, it's technically lower on the pecking order but let's focus on the quality of the guitars by each brand. Do you find Epiphone inferior to Gibson in terms of quality and originality?
Early in my guitaring days I did consider Epi to be inferior to Gibson (due to their copies of Gibson guitars) but since I've matured (and learned that it actually has its own line of guitars) I now consider them equal. I still couldn't say no to a genuine SG though.
How about you?
Sometimes Epiphone's sound almost the same as Fenders with less the price. Gibson is a little more better in sound, and kind of overrated, because rock stars like Eric Clapton use it.
