Best overdrive/distortion pedal for a semi-hollow body guitar?
I like to play blues/rock and would like a pedal to boost solos and for general distortion. I play an epiphone sheraton 2 (like an es 335) on a Roland Cube solid state amp. Any tips? thanks
For a semi-acoustic or semi-hollow, get the Boss DS-1 Distortion. It has overdrive on it and you can adjust the amount of overdrive and/or distortion. Also, in our studio or elsewhere, Boss has the less noise level especially when recording which is important.
The Es-335 has posts inside so it cuts the feedback which is usually produced when you have too much bass. You have the right equipment especially with those Roland Cube. I sue a Roland jazz chorus and a beefed up Ashdown 8 x 12 when touring.
