How do I switch the audio output jack with microphone input jack on my laptop?
This morning, I was in a rush. I had my speakers plugged into my laptop in the audio jack. I went to grab something off my desk and I accidentally dropped. pushed down my laptop. When I picked it up, the thing where you plug it into the jack was bent.
When I got home I wanted to listen to my music, so I plugged it back up. It wouldn't work. So, I plugged it in slowly. One speaker worked when the first green line went through and touched the thing inside the jack, but then when I put it all the way in it didn't work. I looked into it with a flashlight and compared it to the microphone jack. The second little thing (I don't know the word for it. . hah) looked like it was too far pushed in (if that makes any sense.
So I was wondering if I could use my microphone jack as my audio jack. Is there a way I can do that?
No. Microphone jacks take sound in. They don't put it out.
